16 Weeks

Here you can see that the baby belly keeps growing! The bare belly photo is at 16-weeks. I cannot believe how much I have grown in the past few weeks and how much Sweet Pea is expected to grow from this point forward! The other picture is me wearing my first maternity dress around 15-weeks. I look a little 'rough' at the end of a long work day--It's actually a really cute work dress my mom helped me pick out from Target. It was fabulous having my mom in town a few weeks ago to help me pick out inexpensive maternity clothes. I'm definitely not fitting as well in my pants, skirts, and many dresses now. The low stretchy belly in maternity clothing is so comfortable. You really have no appreciation for elastic is until you're pregnant.

Also, Sweet Pea had his/her 15-week OB appointment last week. Eric got to hear the heartbeat for the 1st time. I loved seeing his face light up when he heard the little one! We also asked a lot of first time parent questions and scheduled our next few appointments. Our next appointment is the anatomy scan and then a follow-up with the OB. We cannot wait to learn if Sweet Pea is a boy or girl, and waiting until mid-late August will be difficult. Next stop, filling out applications for local preschools and getting on the waiting list for pediatricians. Can't believe that in the city, these things have to happen so soon! Time is flying by!
